Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events.   2. of course, it was so obvious. Mexicans do not speak Spanish, they just speak English with a weird accent.

    1. cristobal caro just because they don’t speak Spanish doesn’t mean it’s not a celebration of their culture. Keep in mind that Disney is a company, and like all companies they need money, and making the movie in a different language than their market base speaks would be a poor marketing choice, so of course they would make it in English.

    1. SuperPBJPerson as excited I am for this movie. it is a rip off. the book who made book of Life went to Pixar to pitch his idea and was rejected. so he went on to make book of lie. Pixar saw it’s success and decided to jump on that bandwagon

  3. lets make a movie about mexico, and not release a mexican voiced trailer for the spanish version of the movie, you know, because spain spanish is better….. pixar….
